Job Announcement At Mondial Assistance

Mondial Assistance Ireland has today announced the appointment of Roland Hesse to the top position of Country Manager.

Mondial Assistance Ireland, a member of Allianz Global Assistance, is one of the country’s largest assistance companies for the automotive, insurance and travel industries, employing thirty-nine people at its Sandyford Head Office.

Having joined Mondial Assistance UK in 1982 as a Motor Assistance Co-ordinator, Roland Hesse has since held numerous managerial roles within this global company.  In 1995, Hesse became Operations Development Manager, working on large contracts with BMW Group and as the company’s most senior and experienced Project and Programme Manager, has been responsible for the implementation of a series of European-wide projects.

Following the appointment of the previous Country Manager, Martin Lyons, to the Mondial Assistance Canadian office, Hesse took up the role of Acting General Manager in Ireland in the Summer.  He has now been appointed to the permanent position of Country Manager for Mondial Assistance Ireland, which will formally become Allianz Global Assistance later this year.

As Country Manager, Hesse will be responsible for overall strategy of the Irish business, including developing targeted market share, maintaining current business relationships and exploring growth opportunities.  Commenting on his appointment, to the company’s top job in Ireland, Roland Hesse said: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of Country Manager for Ireland. In a difficult market place, Mondial Assistance has continued to thrive here and I look forward to overseeing, with my team, the sustained growth of this truly global company in the Irish market.”
