The Chartered Accountants Leinster Society has today (7 November 2011) announced the shortlist for its Published Accounts Awards for 2011. The Awards, sponsored by the Irish Stock Exchange, reward companies for excellence in financial reporting in Ireland and this year’s shortlist includes a total of 29 companies, not-for-profit organisations and charities. The winners will be announced at a luncheon in The Shelbourne Hotel on Thursday, 24 November, 2011.

In addition to the sectional awards, there will also be a Branding, Communication & Marketing Award, a Social Responsibility Reporting award and an Overall Winners Award from across all categories.

Among the winners of last year’s awards were CRH plc (Large Quoted Company category), Greencore Group (Small/Medium Quoted Company category), RTE (Statutory unquoted large entities category) and Concern (Not For Profit / Charities category). Last year’s recipient of the Design Award was Concern and Total Produce plc won the Enterprise Securities Market Award.  Bord na Móna received the award for Corporate & Social Responsibility Reporting.

Commenting on the 2011 awards, Frank Gannon, Chairman, Chartered Accountants Leinster Society, said: “These awards continue to promote and reward excellence in the presentation of annual published financial accounts.  Today’s shortlist of companies represent the highest standards in the country and set the benchmark for others to follow.”
