2cents ACE Cash Express and NetSpend make Cancer donation

DALLAS, March 16 - ACE Cash Express, Inc., a leading retailer of financial services, and NetSpend, a pioneer of card-based prepaid financial products to underbanked consumers, announced a donation of $502,225.67 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of its mission -- saving lives through early detection and providing mammograms to those in need.

Part of this donation was made possible by the sale of the pink ribbon magnets that were sold in ACE stores during the month of October - Breast Cancer Awareness month. In addition, when ACE customers use their Pink NetSpend Visa® Prepaid Card, purchased exclusively at ACE, they have the opportunity to give back as well. Every time a customer uses this card, a percentage of the purchase is donated to National Breast Cancer Foundation.

"ACE Cash Express is committed to partnering with organizations that are important to our customers and our associates," said ACE President and CEO Jay Shipowitz. "By providing this card to our customers, we are not only offering them a way to manage their finances, but also a way to contribute in the fight against breast cancer."

"We continue to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation because of the fantastic work they do everyday to raise the awareness of this terrible disease," said Dan Henry, CEO at NetSpend. "As a company, one of the most important things we can do for the communities we serve is to support their well-being--be it health-related issues and education or financial literacy. The NBCF is a first-class organization and it's a privilege to be able to support them in everything they do."

"National Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to partner with ACE Cash Express and NetSpend through their Pink NetSpend Prepaid Card promotion," said Janelle Hail, founder and CEO of National Breast Cancer Foundation. "Through their hard work and the enthusiastic participation of their customers, ACE Cash Express and NetSpend have raised nearly $1 million in the last three years and demonstrated their compassionate caring by providing mammograms for women in need."
