Zuma to engage business leaders
Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma is to meet with Business Leadership SA (BLSA) to seek clarity regarding the comments made in the media about their relationship with government.
This follows weekend newspaper reports which accused Zuma of failing to prioritise meetings with business leaders, including BLSA, since taking office.
Zuma’s office denied this, saying he would engage business to clear any misunderstanding.
"The President has gone out of his way to work with business on key projects such as efforts to mitigate the impact of the global economic recession," his office said in a statement.
"The President values interaction with business as a key sector in the growth and development of the country."
The BLSA comprises South Africa's largest corporations and major multinational companies - represented by their CEOs and board chairmen. – BuaNews
